National Office Staff

Chief Executive Officer, Clare Sullivan

Clare has 20 years’ experience in advocacy and intergovernmental relations, communications and community consultation, stakeholder engagement and management.

Clare’s experience spans all three levels of Government, the private sector and not-for-profit sector with a deep understanding of local government. Clare recently worked for the Australian Local Government Association for 10 years where she was responsible for government relations, stakeholder engagement, policy development, issues management, traditional and digital communications and events management.

Clare holds a Masters of Business Administration, Graduate Diploma in Management, and an Advanced Diploma in Communications.

Office Operations, Karen Roberson

Karen joined LG Professionals Australia team in 2018 and brings a high level of administrative and business skills gained in the private sector. Karen also has considerable experience in government, including in data management, survey databases, function and event coordination and governance. Karen has a Diploma in Business Management, Diploma in Project Management and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Manager Advocacy and Policy, Irene Fung

Irene joined LG Professionals Australia in 2017 as International Program Coordinator. With more than 10 years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, she has previously worked with RTI International and United Nations Development Programme. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego, and a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Southern California.

Communications Manager, Angela Thiel-Paul

Angela has more than 20 years of experience in corporate communications, journalism, public relations and editing for private, government, and not-for-profit organisations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications degree from the University of Technology Sydney and Graduate Diploma in International Relations from RMIT.
