New Zealand: Disaster Recovery and Preparedness

The Learning & Innovation Experience sees a group of Australian local government professionals embark on a four-day tour of the Christchurch region in New Zealand based on the theme of Disaster Recovery and Preparedness. The tour will showcase innovative and best practice approaches to the issue and the solutions of local governments in the region, exposing Australian professionals to new ideas, systems and projects that could have practical applications for their own council. Participants will attend sessions and tours hosted by Christchurch City Council, Waimakariri District Council, Canterbury District Health Board, Resilient Organisations and other community groups.

This event is currently scheduled for the latter half of 2020, with specific scheduling to be released at a later date.

Pricing and inclusions

For LG Professionals, LGMA and LGPro members and/or LG Professionals Australia National Council Package holders: $3,750.00 + GST

For non-members: $4,250.00 + GST

  • Three nights 4-star accommodation in Christchurch and one night in Wellington
